It all started with wandering the kitchens of my youth. The perfumes all melding into one, creating and evoking emotion, passion and comfort. Paring those childhood creations with wines and I was hooked. How could something so delightful, effervescent and beautiful be made and contained in just one bottle? How could such joy be created by merely combining ingredients?
And so my journey into the world of food and wine began. From the US to France, India to Italy, I have lived and experienced the love that wine makers and chefs across the globe pour into their barrels, prep in their kitchens eventually leading to an explosion of taste, smell and passion in your glass and on your plate.
Having engaged in years of discovery, I chose to turn my passion into a career. While living in Rome, I chose to soak up as much know how by invading the kitchens of Italian mothers and grandmothers. Who best to learn from than directly from the gatekeepers of years and years of tradition?
I then decided to complete my education by becoming a certified sommelier, in hopes to utilize my inside knowledge of all things culinary and vinification will inspire and infuse in others the same love and fervor I have for this magical world.
Placing importance on the Italian traditions of quality, service and simplicity, each event in which I take part carries on the same traditions and values that I was so lucky to have adopted.
